Ruth Kwamboka Kibwage

Vice Chair & Co-Founder

Ruth Kwamboka Kibwage is a mother of a 10yr autistic boy. She advocates for a blended approach in teaching individuals with autism and understands the significance of structure for learning, attending, and independent skills. She has played and continues to play a significant role in dazzling’s goals and objectives.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business and Management (BBAM) HR option, Diploma in Personnel Management, CHRP IV. She is also an IHRM member with training in strategic leadership development, senior management, human resource management planning & development, performance management, guidance & counselling, strategic human resource management & training of trainers. She is currently working with the county government of Kisii.

Jairus Kibagendi

School Administrator, and Assistant Director of Marketing & Advocacy

Jairus Kibagendi is a psychologist by profession and the Founder and Executive Director – Of A Million Hugs (A Mental Health Organization). Children with special needs have proven to have unique abilities that require unique approaches to identify and nurture, a role that Jairus’ proficiency comes into play.

He is a young transformational leader passionate about community service and champions mental health. He focuses on social treatment – offering psychosocial interventions, mental health and wellness advocacy, and awareness.

He has a considerable passion, knowledge, and proficiency in filmmaking and digital content creation, which he weaves into his service delivery in sensitization on Autism Spectrum Disorder, Mental Health, and community service.

Dominic Meraba

Chairperson Dazzling Center for Autism

Ruth is a Christian and a mother of an eight 8 old autistic son. She is a senior Human resource Management Officer in the County Government of Kisii with a Bachelor Degree of Business Management (HR) and a Masters Student in MSC Human Resource Management.

Dominic Meraba, As the Board Chair, Dominic believes that we continually strive to put together the best team and resources to give the children the highest opportunities to accomplish and live their dreams. He is passionate about growing and developing inclusive high-performing teams and championing broadening access to services for all in the spectrum and those around them.

He holds a master’s degree in Business Administration and information technology management. Currently, he resides in Washington state in the United States of America, where he owns a couple of assisted living facilities. He has vast expertise in the field as he has worked with individuals with different abilities since 2012. His joy and greatest inspiration come from playing, laughing, dancing, learning, and simply being in the company of special needs children.

James Getengah

Founder & CEO

James oversees the Mission & Vision of the Dazzling Center for Autism. He has many years of experience in leadership and management in private and non-profit sectors. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, a diploma in Business Management, and a certified CNA. Enhancing the lives of kids with autism has always been James’ desire ever since his daughter was diagnosed with autism in the year 2015. He played a vital role in the establishment of the Dazzling Center for Autism to make a positive impact on the lives of those on the autism spectrum and those close to them and assist them to achieve yonder their differently given abilities.

Cynthia Nyachama

Director of Marketing & Advocacy

A nurse by profession, she was shocked by the lack of awareness and knowledge about autism when parents visited the various facilities she worked. To make society a better place for her autistic cousin, she dedicates her time and efforts to creating awareness and sensitization. She believes sensitization will reduce stigmatization and discrimination of those on the spectrum and those around them.

Cynthia Spearheads the center’s mission to create awareness and build supportive networks for children with special needs to thrive through life skills development and individualized learning. She equally facilitates mentorship and learning opportunities for all and creates space for open dialogue, guidance, and support within the community.

Alfayo Mike Atandi

Director of Education, Assessment, & Integration

Mike played a crucial role in the organisation’s formation and is proud to be one of the founding members. He oversees the development of strategic internal and external communications to increase audience engagement. He also serves as the lead point person on media interactions that help promote and influences the organization, cultivates, and manages relationships to ensure coverage of programs, special events such as World Autism Month, and other autism awareness and sensitization. He is instrumental in daily organization and coordination, as well as amplifying the organization’s profile by driving its mission & Vision forward through collaborative efforts with other stakeholders, raising public awareness of ASD.

Asken Agwero

Director of Planning and Finance

Asken Agwero Holds aMA Economics (UoN) & BA Economics from Moi university. He is currently working as a corporate operations analyst- at ABSA Kenya PLC while volunteering on a finance and planning advisory committee at the Mfangano sub-county.

While growing up, Agwaro witnessed untold phobia and isolation of not just individuals, but entire families of a member living with a mental condition. He has met people with other mental conditions, from bipolar disorder to schizophrenia. His curiosity grew after witnessing misunderstood intelligence and creativity that most of these people harboured.

At Dazzling, he comes with vast knowledge of finance and the zeal to make the world better for differently talented individuals.

Annet Naliaka

Director of Family Support & Empowerment

Naliaka is a human rights activist with a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies and Community Development whose responsibilities. She fits perfectly in our community regarding autism. She is an amiable, strong-willed, and caring person who strongly believes every child deserves to live and thrive in a community free from discrimination and abuse. She has over five years of experience working with OVCs as a social worker and case manager. Her extraordinary commitment and self-drive are vital in her current role at Dazzling Center for Autism. She is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) at Kenyatta University.
